These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are intended to operate subject to the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and do not exclude or restrict any right, remedy or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
For purposes of these Terms:
GoSplit operates a technology platform intended to facilitate shared journeys and cost-sharing between independent individuals.
GoSplit does not ordinarily provide transportation services itself and does not ordinarily:
A Driver and Passenger enter into their own arrangement concerning the Ride. GoSplit's role is principally to provide technology for discovery, matching, communication, verification and related Platform functions.
GoSplit reserves the right to modify its business model, including the manner in which Rides, contributions, subscriptions or other services are provided, in order to comply with Applicable Law.
GoSplit is designed primarily for shared journeys in which a Driver is undertaking, or intends to undertake, a journey and offers available seating to other Users.
Drivers must not use the Platform as a means of operating an unlawful or unlicensed commercial passenger-transport business.
A Driver must not:
Drivers are responsible for determining whether their intended use of the Platform requires any licence, permit, route authorization, registration, insurance or other regulatory approval.
GoSplit does not guarantee that a particular Ride structure is legally permissible in every jurisdiction in Pakistan.
Where Applicable Law requires a Driver to hold a permit, licence, insurance, registration or other authorization, the Driver must obtain and maintain it before offering or undertaking the relevant Ride.
GoSplit maintains a separate Driver Code of Conduct setting out the ethical and professional standards expected of Drivers, including safety, respect, honesty, and reporting obligations. This Driver Code of Conduct is expressly incorporated into these Terms, and a Driver's failure to comply with it may constitute a breach of these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a GoSplit account unless GoSplit expressly introduces a legally compliant service for minors.
You must provide a valid Pakistani mobile number capable of receiving verification communications.
Drivers must possess a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being driven and must satisfy all legal requirements applicable to driving that vehicle.
Users must provide accurate, complete and current information.
GoSplit may refuse registration or restrict access where it reasonably believes that a person does not satisfy the eligibility requirements.
Users must not create accounts on behalf of another person or permit another person to use their account.
Users may be required to register through an email address, mobile number, password, Google Sign-In or another authentication mechanism supported by GoSplit.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless you can demonstrate that such activity resulted from unauthorized access not caused by your negligence or breach of these Terms.
You must immediately notify GoSplit if you suspect:
GoSplit may require additional verification where reasonably necessary to protect Users or the Platform.
Before posting Rides, Drivers may be required to provide:
GoSplit may verify submitted information directly or through appropriate third-party verification providers.
Submission of documents does not guarantee approval.
GoSplit may reject, suspend or withdraw Driver verification where:
Drivers must immediately notify GoSplit if:
Drivers must use vehicles that are:
Drivers must not knowingly use vehicles with material safety defects.
Drivers must not knowingly carry more passengers than legally permitted.
Drivers must not permit an unauthorized person to drive during a Ride.
Where Applicable Law requires motor vehicle insurance, the Driver must maintain such insurance.
Drivers are responsible for understanding whether their existing insurance policy permits passenger/carpooling use.
Drivers may post rides with a defined origin, destination, date, time, available seats, and fare.
Passengers may browse nearby rides and submit a seat request. A request is not confirmed until the driver accepts it.
Once a request is accepted, both parties will receive the other's contact phone number to facilitate coordination.
Drivers must generate and share the ride OTP (one-time PIN) with passengers at the start of the journey to confirm boarding.
The App is a platform for connecting drivers and passengers only. GoSplit is not a party to any ride agreement and is not responsible for the conduct of any user.
All fares are set by drivers and agreed between drivers and passengers directly. The App does not process ride payments; fares are settled in cash or through a mutually agreed method.
In-app purchases (subscriptions and one-time plans) are processed by Google Play and are subject to Google Play's billing terms.
Subscription plans renew automatically unless cancelled through Google Play at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
We do not offer refunds for in-app purchases except where required by applicable law or Google Play's refund policy.

Entitlements are tied to your Google Play account and are non-transferable.
We reserve the right to change plan prices or features with reasonable notice.

After a ride is completed, both drivers and passengers may rate each other on a scale of 1 to 5.
Ratings must be honest and based on the actual ride experience.
We reserve the right to remove ratings that violate these Terms or that we determine to be fake or abusive.
The App requires access to your device's precise location to function. Location data is used only in real-time for ride matching and map display and is not stored on our servers.
You may revoke location permission at any time through your device settings, but the App's core features will not function without it.
GoSplit is a platform for matching drivers and passengers. Each user is solely responsible for their own safety and security. The following safety practices are strongly recommended:
Always keep your personal belongings, valuables, and documents secure during your ride. GoSplit is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings.
Before boarding or beginning a ride, share your real-time location with trusted friends and family members so they know your whereabouts and can assist if needed.
Review other users' ratings and profiles before accepting or offering a ride. Trust your instincts and decline any ride that makes you uncomfortable.
If you feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or witness any suspicious or criminal activity during a ride, immediately end the ride and contact local police. You may also report the user to GoSplit at ride.gosplit@gmail.com.
In case of emergency or if you experience any form of harassment, abuse, or danger, contact police immediately by calling 15 or your local emergency number.
Drivers must maintain their vehicles in safe, roadworthy condition and comply with all traffic laws. Driving under the influence or while impaired is strictly prohibited.
GoSplit is a technology platform only. We do not provide transportation services, employ drivers, vet passengers, or guarantee the availability, quality, safety, or legality of any ride. Users arrange rides at their own discretion and risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GoSplit shall not be liable for:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or PKR 1,000, whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GoSplit and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
This clause does not require a User to indemnify GoSplit for GoSplit's own liability to the extent such liability cannot lawfully be transferred or excluded.
The App, its design, logo, and content are owned by or licensed to GoSplit and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.
By submitting content (profile pictures, vehicle photos, ride descriptions) you grant GoSplit a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the App.
You represent that you own or have the right to submit all content you provide and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be inappropriate.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at ride.gosplit@gmail.com.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity, or if we are required to do so by law.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections 15, 16, 17, and 20 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Islamabad, Pakistan.
Before initiating any legal action, you agree to contact us in good faith to attempt to resolve the dispute amicably.
We may amend these Terms where reasonably necessary to:
Material amendments will, where reasonably practicable, be notified through the App, email, push notification or another appropriate method.
The revised Terms will state their effective date.
Where Applicable Law requires affirmative consent to a material amendment, GoSplit will obtain such consent.
Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance only to the extent permitted by Applicable Law.
By selecting "I Agree", creating an account, or continuing to use the Platform after being presented with these Terms, you consent to entering into these Terms electronically.
Electronic records and electronic communications may be used as evidence of your acceptance and dealings with GoSplit, subject to Applicable Law.
GoSplit may maintain electronic records of:
If any provision of these Terms is determined by a competent court or authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in effect.
Failure by GoSplit to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce that provision subsequently.
Users may not transfer or assign their rights or obligations under these Terms without GoSplit's prior written consent.
GoSplit may transfer or assign its rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets or other legitimate corporate transaction, subject to Applicable Law.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement between you and GoSplit concerning your use of the Platform, subject to any separate written agreement expressly entered into between the parties.
Users must comply with all Applicable Law.
Depending upon the location and nature of a Ride, Applicable Law may include laws and regulations concerning:
Nothing in these Terms authorizes a User to violate any applicable federal, provincial or local law.
If a User's proposed use of GoSplit requires a licence, permit, registration or approval, the User is responsible for obtaining it.
GoSplit may cooperate with competent Pakistani authorities where required by law or where reasonably necessary to address serious crime, fraud, threats to safety or other unlawful conduct.
GoSplit may preserve relevant information where reasonably necessary for:
GoSplit may disclose information pursuant to a valid legal process or other lawful request.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove any mandatory consumer right or remedy available under Applicable Law.
Where a consumer protection law applies to GoSplit's services, that law will apply to the extent required.
GoSplit will not knowingly make false or misleading representations concerning:
Users are responsible for their own tax obligations arising from their use of GoSplit.
Drivers must comply with applicable income tax, sales tax, withholding and other tax obligations arising from their activities.
GoSplit may collect or report taxes where required by Applicable Law.
GoSplit does not provide individual tax advice to Users.
GoSplit maintains a formal complaint and dispute resolution process as detailed in our Complaint and Incident Response Policy. Users may submit complaints regarding rides, conduct violations, or platform issues.
Complaints will be investigated within 30 days. Users will receive updates on the status of their complaint and a final decision with reasoning.
Users have the right to appeal decisions within 7 days of receiving the decision letter.
GoSplit maintains a separate Privacy Policy governing the collection, use, and protection of Personal Data. This Privacy Policy is expressly incorporated into these Terms.
GoSplit processes Personal Data in accordance with lawful, fair and transparent principles and complies with applicable data protection laws.
Users have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of their Personal Data in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
