2. Driver Verification and Eligibility
2.1 Verification Requirements
Before you can post rides on GoSplit, you must complete our verification process. This includes:
- Valid Pakistani CNIC (National Identity Card) with recent photograph
- Valid Pakistani driving licence appropriate for your vehicle
- Vehicle registration certificate/card
- Photographs of your vehicle (front, rear, and side views)
- Proof of valid motor vehicle insurance
- Phone number verification via OTP
- Any other documentation GoSplit reasonably requires for safety and fraud prevention
2.2 What Verification Means
Important: GoSplit's verification process confirms that documents are valid and match your identity. However, verification does NOT constitute a guarantee, certification, or representation that you are safe, competent, trustworthy, or legally permitted to provide transportation. Passengers rely on ratings, profiles, and their own judgment when accepting rides.
2.3 Eligibility Criteria
You are eligible to drive on GoSplit if you:
- Are at least 18 years old
- Possess a valid Pakistani driving licence appropriate for your vehicle
- Have a valid registered vehicle that is roadworthy and legally compliant
- Maintain valid motor vehicle insurance
- Have not been prohibited from driving by any court or authority
- Do not have a history of serious traffic violations or criminal convictions
- Can provide accurate and truthful information
2.4 Continuous Verification
Your verification status is ongoing. You must immediately notify GoSplit if:
- Your driving licence expires, is suspended, revoked, or restricted
- Your vehicle registration expires or is cancelled
- Your insurance policy expires, is cancelled, or lapses
- Your vehicle is involved in a material accident
- Your vehicle becomes unsafe or unroadworthy
- You are prohibited from driving by any court or authority
- Any information you provided to GoSplit becomes inaccurate
- You experience significant changes in circumstances that affect your eligibility
Failure to notify GoSplit of changes in your eligibility status may result in account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
3. Vehicle Safety Standards
3.1 Vehicle Requirements
Your vehicle must meet the following standards at all times:
- Legal Registration: Vehicle must be legally registered in Pakistan with current registration documents
- Roadworthiness: Vehicle must be in safe, roadworthy condition fit for passenger transport
- Maintenance: Vehicle must be regularly maintained and mechanically sound
- Safety Equipment: Vehicle must have all legally required safety equipment (seat belts, emergency lights, first aid kit, warning triangles, etc.)
- Insurance: Vehicle must carry valid motor vehicle insurance as required by Pakistani law

4.2 Prohibited Driving Behaviors
You must NOT:
- Drive while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substance
- Drive while impaired by medication that affects alertness or judgment
- Drive while fatigued or sleepy
- Use mobile phone while driving (except via hands-free system)
- Engage in road rage or aggressive driving
- Smoke, consume food, or engage in distracting activities while driving
- Drive recklessly or exceed speed limits
- Knowingly violate traffic laws
- Permit an unauthorized person to drive
Violation of these standards may result in immediate account suspension and permanent removal from the platform.

You must NOT:
- Harass, threaten, abuse, or discriminate against any passenger

- Discriminate based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, age, or disability

- Create an unsafe or hostile environment

Any form of harassment or discrimination will result in immediate account termination.

- Ask the passenger to confirm the vehicle type and license plate
- Generate and share the ride OTP with the passenger at pickup
- Trust your instincts - if something feels unsafe, you may decline the ride
- Cancel the ride and contact GoSplit if you have safety concerns
5.2 Privacy and Data Protection
You must protect passenger privacy:
- Do not share passenger phone numbers, addresses, or personal information
- Do not take photographs or videos of passengers without explicit consent
- Do not discuss passenger details with other drivers or on social media
- Do not access passenger data beyond what is necessary for the ride
- Maintain confidentiality of all passenger information
- Comply with all data protection laws and GoSplit's Privacy Policy
5.3 Passenger Belongings
- Do not access or touch passenger belongings without permission
- Report any forgotten items to GoSplit immediately
- Do not keep or dispose of lost belongings
- Assist passengers in locating their items after rides when reasonable
- Do not be held responsible for lost or stolen passenger items
6. Health and Hygiene
6.1 Vehicle Hygiene
You must maintain high hygiene standards:
- Keep your vehicle clean - both exterior and interior
- Regularly vacuum and clean seats
- Wipe down door handles, armrests, and high-touch surfaces
- Ensure windows are clean and unobstructed
- Remove any trash or debris after each ride
- Address any odors (smoke, strong perfume, food) that may be offensive
- Maintain appropriate temperature and ventilation
6.2 Personal Health and Safety
You must not drive if you:
- Are experiencing contagious illness symptoms (fever, cough, difficulty breathing)
- Have active skin conditions that may be contagious
- Are impaired by medication or illness affecting driving ability
- Are experiencing severe fatigue or health crisis
7. Accident and Incident Reporting

7.2 Reporting Procedures
You must report accidents or incidents to GoSplit within 24 hours. Include:

You may lose platform access if your rating falls below 4.6 stars or if you accumulate multiple safety complaints.
9. Violations and Enforcement

- Temporary account suspension (24 hours to 30 days)
- Requirement to complete safety training
- Permanent account termination

The following violations will result in immediate permanent account termination:

- Violent behavior or threats
- Operating a vehicle without valid insurance
- Operating a vehicle without valid driver's license
- Discrimination based on protected characteristics
- Criminal activity
- Multiple serious safety violations
9.3 Appeals and Review
If your account is suspended or terminated for safety reasons, you may:
- Submit a formal appeal to GoSplit within 7 days
- Provide additional context or evidence
- Request independent review of the decision
GoSplit will review your appeal and respond within 14 days with a decision.

As a GoSplit driver, you acknowledge that:

- You are responsible for complying with all safety standards
- You must maintain a valid driving license, vehicle registration, and insurance
- You are responsible for determining regulatory requirements in your jurisdiction
- You agree to immediately report any safety concerns or violations
- You understand violations may result in account suspension or termination
